Nagpur, Dec 4
The victory in the graduate constituency seat of the legislative council has given a fillip to the parties of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Considering this as an auspicious sign Aghadi parties are claiming that its effect will be seen in the NMC elections also. On the other hand, the phase of introspection has started in BJP.
Victory of Deekshabhoomi over RSS fort
Guardian minister Nitin Raut said that the victory of Wanjari is the victory of Deekshabhoomi over RSS stronghold. Giving gratitude to the leaders who helped in this victory, he said that the strategy of Congress was successful in getting the votes of second preference from the candidates of Ambedkar ideology. Wanjari did not have any problem in reaching the winning quota with the counting of votes of the second preference, he said.
Now, Aghadi will win all elections: Tumane
Shiv Sena MP Krupal Tumane claimed that this victory is a sign that now Maha Vikas Aghadi will win all elections. He claimed that Shiv Sena workers played an important role in this election. Efforts were made for a record turnout in Ramtek. Although Wanjari may be a Congress candidate, NCP and Shiv Sena also tried to make him victorious.
Will make a new strategy through introspection: Fadnavis
Leader of the opposition in the state assembly Devendra Fadnavis said that this result is contrary to the expectation of the BJP. The party will introspect to analyse this result. He admitted that the party could not correctly assess the situation of the three parties coming together. The strategy of the next election will be made keeping this in mind, he said.
“Due to the sudden announcement of election, the party did not get enough time for voter registration. Registration was done with government machinery,” he said.
He claimed that due to the introduction of new candidates at first sight, the defeat is not clear. But the Shiv Sena should also think that despite having the chief minister post, they could not win a single seat in the state, he added.
