It can be mentioned here that city boxer Alfiya created history by winning gold medal in World Youth Boxing Championship held at Poland few days back. According to the sports cell her NIS coach Ganesh Purohuit has played an important role in Alfiya's progress at international-level.
" Due to his efforts Alfiya could able to achieve the success. The state government has announced a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh to Alfiya. The government should give equal amount to her coach so that they could produce more players like Alfiya in the future", said sports cell president Vivek Awasare.
