HC adjourns parole hearing in serial bomb blast case

Nagpur, June 8

The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court has adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of Asghar Kadar Sheikh and Mohd Yukub Nagul’s parole petition till June 18, who were involved in serial bomb blast in Mumbai.

Their lawyer Adv Mir Nagman Ali had submitted the bail plea. Emergency parole should be granted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court and the revised parole rules due to the corona pandemic, pleaded the counsel. Both the accused have been sentenced to a total 55 years of imprisonment under various sections in the 1997 Mumbai blasts case. Both the inmates are currently lodged in Nagpur Central Jail.
