In the first match played today, Bhopal Blasters defeated Bhilai Battalion with a score of 31–27. In the women’s match, Lucknow Lions registered an impressive victory over Ahmedabad Angels, winning 36–19.

On this occasion, Esha Deol expressed her joy and congratulated the organizers, assuring her full support for the promotion and growth of handball. She fondly recalled her old memories, sharing how she played for the Mumbai team and participated in several state-level handball tournaments as well as national-level football competitions. Describing the event’s standards as being of an international level, she showered praise on the organizers. She made a special mention of the Naidu brothers, calling their efforts for this league unforgettable. During the event, she also launched the HPL theme song, to which several handball players performed a dance.

The chief guest of the programme, State Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, congratulated all the organizers and players and promised complete support for the league in the future.
