‘IPL experience will help us in coming domestic season’

It is an ultimate dream of every player to play with their icon. Although they were not an active members any franchise, they got vital experience in the nets during the 13th edition of Indian Premier League that was held in UAE. After spending around one and half months in UAE these youngsters are ready to utilise their IPL experience in the forthcoming domestic season.

Vidarbha''s young pacers Nachiket Bhute, Yash Thakur and Aditya Thakre represented their respective franchises as the net bowlers. While Bhute and Thakur gave their services to Preity Zinta owned Kings XI Punjab, Thakre was the member of RCB.

While sharing his experience Bhute who regularly plays for Reshimbagh Gymkhana said, "It was altogether a nice experience to bowl to the experienced batsmen in nets. I got an opportunity to bowl Indian wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul once. England right arm pacer Chris Jordan, South African Hardus Viljoen gave me lot of tips during training sessions. Apart from them Indian pacer Mohammad Shami also guided me on a number of occasions", he said.

Bhute said the bowlers taught him how to read batsmen''s mind while bowling and that tips will definitely help him in the forthcoming domestic season. " I learn a lot of things from them and I will definitely use IPL net bowling experience in the forthcoming season", said Bhute. The young bowler said South African former fielding legend Jonty Rhodes was very much impressed over his fielding efforts in one practice match. "In one practice match I ran out New Zealander James Neesham from cover. Rhodes appreciated my effort and that was a memorable experience for me", said Bhute.

Another Kings XI Punjab net bowler Yash Thakur also said he learnt a lot of new things as a net bowler in UAE during IPL. "The coaches as well as players taught me a lot of new things. Skipper KL Rahul is a very humble player. He told me that everyone works hard but to achieve success you need an awareness about the game and an ability to adapt the conditions".

Thakur said Chris Jordan was very much impressed over his yorkers and termed them as his plus point.

Aditya Thakre was fortunate enough to bowl to the great players like Indian captain Virat Kohli and South African explosive batsman AB De Villiers. " It was a nice experience for me to spend time with cricketing greats. They taught me lot of things. In fact South African speedster Dale Steyn gave a lot of bowling tips to me and also rectified some faults. Now during my net sessions, I have been applying the tactics taught by them. Definitely in the coming domestic season their tips will help me to improve my performance", said Aditya.
