The minister was speaking during the valediction ceremony of the Induction Training for the 77th batch of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) held at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur.

The minister further pointed out that the newly inducted IRS Officers will play a crucial role in ushering the era of Atmanirbhar Bharat and making of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Member (Admin), CBDT Prabodh Seth, Pr. DG (Trg), New Delhi Sanjay Bahadur anmd DG, NADT, Nagpur P. Selvaganesh also graced the occasion. Senior officers heading various Central and State Government organisations and the Income Tax Department, Nagpur were also present on the occasion.

The 77th batch comprising of 84 officers including 02 officers from Royal Bhutan Service, completed the 16 months long Induction Training at NADT.

National Academy of Direct Taxes is the apex training institute of the Income Tax Department. The flagship programme of NADT is the Induction Training for the Officers recruited to the Indian Revenue Service through the Civil Service Examination (CSE) conducted by the union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Through a meticulously planned curriculum, the Induction Programme designed to equip the participants with the knowledge, skills, and mind-set required to excel in their roles as citizen centric tax administration and contribute effectively to the development of the nation.
