The Kisan Railway received huge response on first day on Wednesday. The farmers in Vidarbha huge quantity of orange and other farm produce to Delhi. Looking at the response of farmers, Kisan Railway will be sent again on next Wednesday to Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. The Kisan Railway is proving to be beneficial for farmers in Vidarbha.
The orange in Vidarbha are in demand all over country. The transportation of orange to far off places is not possible due to lack of rapid mode of transport and this fruit comes in perishable goods. The railway administration sent Kisan Railway for the first time to Adarsh Nagar, Delhi on Wednesday. The orange growing farmers gave huge response to this railway. Looking at the good response to first Kisan Railway, the railway administration has decided to send Kisan Railway to Adarsh Nagar, Delhi every week.
The railway officials are contacting farmers accordingly. The railway has formed a website for Kisan Railway. WhatsApp groups of farmers have been formed and help desk have become functional at every railway station. It is being expected that second Kisan Railway will also get good response from farmers.
