Anupam Nimgade will reply

The son of architect Eknath Nimgade, Adv Anupam Nimgade has filed a petition in the High Court seeking speedy investigation into the matter. The CBI submitted the affidavit and gave detailed information about the investigation to the court. Adv Nimgade then asked the court for two weeks to file a reply to the affidavit. As a result, the petition will be heard next week.

Closed investigation restarted

As no concrete evidence was found, the CBI had closed its probe into the case. A report in this regard was also submitted to the First Class Magistrate Court on December 22, 2020. Subsequently, the Nagpur police commissioner sent a letter to the CBI on March 17, 2021 informing the new suspects. Therefore, on March 30, 2021, the CBI filed an application in the First Class Magistrate’s Court seeking permission to reopen the case.
