In this Group A match played at the Vasant Nagar ground of Dhanwate National College on Thursday, Lokmat first bundled out Punyanagari for 52 runs in 11.4 overs. Then they easily achieved the target by losing one wicket in 4.5 overs.

Except for Deepak Mane (10) and Shridhar Hatgade (23), no other batsman from Punyanagari could reach double figures. Deep took two wickets for 17 runs in four overs, including a maiden over. Sachin Khadke, Devendra Sadavarti, and Nitin Pataria each took two wickets for 19, 8, and 7 runs respectively. Opener Sharad Mishra's unbeaten 36 off 16 balls played a key role in Lokmat's victory. Pataria scored 10 runs off three balls. Deep was presented the Player of the Match trophy by Dr. Sambhaji Bhosale, Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education at RTM Nagpur University. Loksatta and Deshonnati will face each other on Friday.
