Maha Metro to resume service from today

Nagpur, Oct 15

Maha Metro service which was closed due to lockdown amid Covid-19 pandemic since March 22, will start its service again after a long breather of seven and half months from Friday (October 16). The service will continue from 8am to 8pm. Metro train will be available for passengers after every 15 minutes.

A limited number of passengers can travel in Metro. The service will begin from Aqua Line. On this route, the metro train will stop at Sitabuldi Interchange, Jhansi Rani, Institute of Engineers, LAD, Subhash Nagar, Vasudev Nagar, Bansi Nagar and Lokmanya Nagar stations. Concession in fares will be given to passengers for the journey of metro. They will also have to follow all the rules related to Covid-19 like wearing masks, keeping a safe distance. To ensure this, the staff of Maha Metro will be deployed in stations and trains. Only passengers wearing masks will get admission at the station. There will be only one entrance at the station. Thermal screening of passengers will be done here. Cash collection box at ticket counter, marking for safe distance on platform, sanitisation in station and train have also been arranged.

Metro train will run from Oct 18 on Orange line

The metro passenger train service on the Orange Line of Wardha Road will start from Sunday (October 18). Metro will stop at eight stations on this route. These include Sitabuldi Interchange, Rahate Colony, Ajni Chowk, JP Nagar, Airport, Airport South, New Airport, Khapri Metro stations. On this route too, passengers will have to strictly follow the rules related to Covid-19.
