In reply, riding on half-centuries by Shrikant Kotungle (unbeaten 73) and Pankaj Pandey (59), Punyanagari comfortably won the match by scoring 183 runs for the loss of two wickets in just 16 overs. The opening pair of Shrikant and Deepak (27) laid a strong foundation for victory by adding 60 runs. For his outstanding all-round performance, Deepak was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ by Dr. Dravendra Wankhede, head of the Department of Physical Education of Dhanwate National College.
