In the girls group, Chhavi with 7 points out of 8 won the championship. Anushka Deshpande with 6.5 points was runners up. Four players Yashika Musale, Ayanshi Bhengade, Ojaswi Poharkar and Anvi Hirde scored six point however they were placed from 3rd to 6th based on their tie break score.
Top two finishers in open group i.e. Sahajveer Singh Maras and Chirag Lahoti and top two finishers in girls group i.e. Chhavi Zade and Anushka Deshpande were selected to represent Nagpur district in Maharashtra state Under-13 Open and Girls chess Championship 2026 to be held later this year.
Prizes were distributed at the hands of International Arbiter and Ex-MCA secretary TN Bahadure and senior national chess player and coach Vinay Barhanpure. MCA observer committee member SS Soman, Chief Arbiter IA Shiva Iyer were present on the dias. SNA Akash Rewatkar read out the names of winners.
FA Shiva Iyer was the Chief Arbiter who was assisted by FA Amit Tembhurne, FA Bharati Dhote, SNA Akash Rewatkar and SNA Shrikant Bagde.
