MRCC who started their campaign on victory note defeating Advocate XI in their opening clash, recorded another victory when they thrashed Lipton Cricket Club by huge margin fo 229 runs on the second day of Guzder League 'A' Division Cricket Tournament at different venues on Monday,

In other matches, Reshimbagh Gymkhana, Eleven Star and Indian Gymkhana opened their accounts with victories. At VCA Civil Lines batting first MRCC scored 337 for 7 in 50 overs. Thanks to Nayan Chavan who scored 66 in 84 balls hitting 11 fours. Apoorva Wankhede (52, 41b, 2x4, 5x6), Pawan Parnate (48) Shrikant Wagh (44) and Ankush Wakode (42) were other run scorers. In reply, Lipton were all out for 108 in 27.2 overs. Mohit Raut and Shrikant Wagh claimed three wickets each. At WCL ground, Reshimbagh Gymkhana recorded 168-run victory over Advocate XI. Batting first Reshimbagh Gymkhana scored 354 all out off 49.5 overs. Thanks to Gautam Vaidya who slammed 67-ball 83 with the help of 11 boundaries and one six. Siddhesh Dandekar (70b, 71 b, 8x4, 2x6) also batted well. For Advocate XI, Nachikt Parande and Sandip Jaiswal got three wickets each. In reply Advocate XI were all out for 186. Pawan Chandel (55, 53b, 9x40 and Rohit Binkar (52, 59b, 5x4, 2x6) scored half centuries but that was not enough. For Reshimbagh, Mayank Jasore snared four wickets while Praful Hinge got two.

At Kalamna ground, Eleven Star defeated All India Reporter (AIR) by four wickets. Batting first AIR scored 250 all out. Aman Sharma top scored with 81 hitting seven boundaries. In reply, Eleven Star achieved the target losing six wickets in 46.1 overs. Thanks to Shubham Dube who played an unbeaten knock of 80. Faiz Fazal also batted well and scored 52.

At VCA Civil Lines Stadium, Indian Gymkhana defeated Navniketan by four wickets. Navniketan scored 216 all out in 46.1 overs. Akshay Wadkar knocked off 86 hitting 11 boundaries and one six. In reply riding on R Sanjay's 89 run knock Indian Gymkhana achieved the target in 47.3 overs.
