According to the Nagpur Pact, out of the three assembly sessions, it is mandatory to have one session in Nagpur. A permanent chamber of Legislature Secretariat will be inaugurated in Nagpur Vidhan Bhavan on January 4, 2021.

The chamber will be inaugurated on Monday at 1.30 pm. Speaker of Legislative Council Ramraje Naik-Nimbalkar, speaker of Legislative Assembly Nana Patole, deputy chairperson of the Legislative Council Neelam Gorhe, deputy speaker of the Legislative Assembly Narhari Zirwal, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, city’s Guardian Minister Nitin Raut, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anil Parab will be present on the occasion.

Therefore, the Nagpur Legislative Assembly, which use to remain functional only during the winter season, will remain open throughout the year. There will be two deputy secretaries, two additional secretaries, two chamber officers, two assistant chamber officers, four clerk cum typists and four soldiers, officers and employees working in the chamber. Now legislative committee meetings will also be held in Nagpur Legislative Assembly. Similarly, the facility of filing questions will be made available to the members of both the houses before the session.

Members of both the houses, their personal assistants, office-members of the local government institution, voluntary organisations, and study groups coming from various educational institutions to see the Vidhan Bhavan will be provided training by V S Page Parliamentary Training Center.
