Nagpur, Nov 1

Now aerial survey will also be done on properties in rural areas and it will start in Nagpur from Monday. In the first phase, under the ‘Swamitva Yojana’, Savanga, Khapri, Dhaga, Bazaargaon, Pachanvari, Ringanbodi, Pindkapur, Yelna, Chhapgatta, Dhavakund and Mandla village will be surveyed.

It is to be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the scheme on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2019. Thousands of villages in the State benefited from the scheme. Villages of Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Kolhapur benefitted through it. Due to the aerial survey, the people in rural areas will benefit the most, as due to non-registration of property, many times the influential people try to grab the property of poor masses by using political clout and force. Drone will be used for survey. An agreement has been reached between the Department of Survey of India and the Central government regarding this. Under this agreement, the department has been entrusted the task of surveying 63 villages. After drone mapping, this data will be fed in the process and will directly go to the Central government.

AAI’s permission needed for mapping

Officer of the Department of Survey of India Dilip Ambhore told that Airport Authority of India’s (AAI) permission is needed to fly the drone. Therefore mapping is not possible without their permission. Permission has not been obtained due to technical difficulties, but the work will start as soon as permission is obtained on Monday.
