The cooperation extended by the private hospitals following an appeal by the administration during coronavirus pandemic is invaluable. But inquiry should be conducted against some anti-social elements, who tried to exploit the situation during this period. A medical committee should be formed which will work in an unbiased manner to check malpractices committed by the private hospitals and scrutinise complaints about private hospitals and check disputable and exaggerated bills, directed energy and guardian minister Nitin Raut to NMC commissioner.
A Covid review meeting was held in divisional commissioner's office on Saturday. The concept of reserving 80 per cent of beds in hospitals has benefited lot of corona patients during the peak.
