MIDC Industries Association (MIA) Hingna and GIZ India in association with The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) Nagpur Chapter recently conducted an exclusive webinar on the topic ‘Sustaining Profitability in Foundries’. The expert speaker for the webinar was professional foundry consultant and trainer Jaydeep Lengade, President of MIA Hingn C G Shegaonkar initiated the event by welcoming the speaker and all the live participants of the webinar. He further shared the overview of the webinar and added that this webinar will surely be very insightful and helpful for

foundries, especially considering the current situation. Dr. Ravindra Aher from GIZ India introduced the online participants to the speaker Jaydeep Lengade and shared his professional background followed by general remarks.

Jaydeep Lengade initiated his presentation by talking about the main goals which are applicable to all businesses i.e. Customer Satisfaction, Profitability, Safety, Environment Conservation, and Long Term Sustainability; which go hand-in-hand. Next, he spoke about the various visible and invisible expenses in a foundry industry; and how it is necessary to strike the right balance to ensure sustained profits for the industry.

Chairman of The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) Nagpur Chapter Saurabh Mohta, thanked the speaker for the informative and interesting presentation.

Dr. Ravindra Aher, Consultant – GIZ India moderated the question-answer session followed by closure remarks and thanksgiving to all the online participants who had given a great response to this webinar including foundry industries, consultants and IIF regional chapters from all over the country. Prominent among those present in the webinar were vice-chairman, The Institute of Indian Foundrymen – Nagpur Chapter Mr. Gautam Roy, professional technical advisor from Bengaluru Govind B S,,Vice-President, MIA Hingna S.M. Patwardhan, Sanjay Shah from Shah Hitech Auto Alcast Co. Ltd., Jamshedpur and Joint Vice-Chairman of IIF Jamshedpur Chapter, the team from IIF Jamshedpur Chapter and prominent foundry industries of the region.
