As per the tournament rules, if two or more teams in a group finish on the same number of points, the team with more bonus points will be placed higher on the league table. The Elite Group A saw a three-way tie with Andhra, Jharkhand and Vidarbha all finishing on 31 points. As Jharkhand and three bonus points and Andhra two, Jharkhand and Andhra qualified as top-two teams and Vidarbha were eliminated.
Earlier in the day, Vidarbha resumed on 91/4 and went out their task of getting the remaining 110 runs in a cool and collected manner. Aman Mokhade and Danish Malewar added 82 runs for the fifth wicket to bring Vidarbha close before falling for 83 and 54, respectively.
Captain Harsh Dubey struck a few lusty blows and Nachiket Bhute hit the winning six to seal victory.
