The High Court had ordered speedy trial in Remdesivir black marketing case. Accordingly, the police commissioner convened a meeting on April 30 and discussed in detail all the 12 cases filed across various police stations till that date. The meeting was attended by all additional commissioners of police, deputy commissioners of police, PIs and investigation officers of the concerned police stations.

Meanwhile, the CP has asked for a thorough investigation into all the cases. He has also directed the concerned DCPs to closely monitor the investigation and thoroughly examine the chargesheets with the help of lawyers and make watertight case. A new case was registered at Tehsil police station on May 1. The chargesheets have been filed in the court on May 3. The investigation into other cases is at an early stage and it will take a few more days to file the chargesheet, Amitesh Kumar informed High Court.

The hearing is set for Thursday
