Nagpur, Oct 20

Richa Khare took the charge as the first woman divisional railway manager of Central Railway, Nagpur division. The special thing is that she is also the first officer in this post who is from Indian Railways Account Service. The third thing is that when she joined the railways, she got first posting in Nagpur (Motibagh). She took the charge from outgoing DRM Somesh Kumar on Tuesday.

Richa Khare did BTech (Electronics) from NIT, Bhopal. She is a 1992 batch officer of Indian Railways Account Services. Before assuming the charge of DRM of Central Railway, Nagpur division, she has held important posts in South Eastern Railway, Central Railway, Eastern Railway and Western Railway. Prior to taking this position, she was posted as financial advisor and chief accounts officer (G) in Western Railway.

Emphasis will be on options to increase revenue

“In addition to safety, special attention will be given to punctuality. After the impact of Covid-19, now all options to increase revenue will be considered. There will also be a special focus on to check spending. Efforts will be made to complete the ongoing projects in the existing fund. New projects would be completed soon so that more revenue can be achieved through this, work will be done with emphasis on this too.”
