Vedant Dighade anchored the Navniketan innings with a splendid 123 off 132 balls, hitting 12 boundaries and a six after Ruby Colts won the toss and elected to bowl.

Dighade shared an opening stand of 92 runs with Akshay Ahuja (48) and 98 with Mohd Faiz (40). Dighade was the ninth to be dismissed at the score of 281 as the Navniketan innings folded for 297.

Ruby Colts, who had successfully chased down MRCC’s tally of 341 in the semifinal, went about their task in a brisk manner. Their openers Sachin Katariya (40) and Iknoor Singh (62) added 89 runs in only 13.1 overs to lay a strong foundation for the chase. Iknoor got good support from Rohit Binkar (25) and Abhishek Agrawal (37) to take them close.

Addhyan Rauthan (67*, 71 balls 4x4, 6x2) and Swapnil Singh (15*) saw them home with an unfinished seventh wicket stand of 44 runs with two overs to spare.
