Nagpur: The first T20 match between India and New Zealand will be played on January 21 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha Stadium. Online ticket sales for the match began at 10 a.m. on Saturday and all tickets were sold out within just two hours.

Tickets were available through the ‘District by Zomato’ mobile application and the official website ‘district.in’, with a limit of two tickets per person. Many fans had kept the website open since morning. As soon as the site went live at 10 a.m., over 60,000 people were in the virtual queue. However, within two hours, tickets across all price categories were declared houseful, leaving many disappointed. Ticket prices were ₹650, ₹750, ₹2,000, ₹2,500, ₹4,000, ₹4,500, ₹6,000, and ₹7,000. The seating capacity of the VCA Jamtha Stadium is 44,500, of which 33,000 tickets are made available for sale. As a match is being held after a year, fans of all age groups were eager to watch the game live. However, with tickets sold out, many now have no option but to watch the match on television. When asked about this, VCA secretary Sanjay Badkas said, “Since the ticket sales are conducted online, the VCA administration has no role in it.”
