The tournament is being organised by the Maharashtra Boxing Association at Civil Lines, Nagpur, and the semifinal bouts on the sixth day witnessed intense competition.

In the 48 kg category, Avantika defeated Priyanshi of Rajasthan 4–1. In the 50 kg category, Ovi outclassed Shine of Chandigarh 5–0 whereas in the 52 kg category, Mamta beat Services’ boxer Reet 5–0. In the 57 kg category, standout boxer Samiksha recorded an impressive 5–0 victory over Harshita of Himachal Pradesh to enter the gold medal bout.

In the 63 kg light welterweight category, Maharashtra’s Shanaya defeated Yashika of Delhi 4–1 to reach the final.

In the boys’ category, Maharashtra’s Sanskar and Gopal also advanced to the finals. Sanskar defeated Adarsh of Uttar Pradesh 3–2 in the 44–46 kg semifinal. Gopal registered a dominant 5–0 win over Kenli of Arunachal Pradesh in the 52 kg category.

The finals of various weight categories will be held on Saturday starting at 11 am followed by the medal distribution ceremony and closing function at 3:00 pm informed organizing committee secretary Dr Rakesh Tiwari.
