Sarah Farooqui, a 12th standard student of Centre Point School, Katol Road, is a skilled Karateka who has brought laurels with her phenomenal performance at the State, National and now International level.

After bagging a gold medal each in SGFI Sqay Martial Art 2020 Championship and in Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat SQAY National Champoinship in February 2020, Sarah proved her mettle in the 1st Online International SQAY Artistic Championship held o recently. The event was organised by International Council of Sqay and participants from 16 countries round the globe took part in this competition. These countries included India, Peru, Jordan, Syria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Iran to name a few. The participants had to make a short video of their performance which they sent to the respective state federations. This procedure was followed to select the players at state and national levels. Sarah was among the only six players who were selected to represent India in the International SQAY Artistic Championship. The results were announced online. Sarah with her agility and dexterity bagged the much coveted 1st position in the Senior Girls K1 category. Principal Shilpee Ganguly, staff and students appreciated the stupendous success of Sarah.
