The tournament will be played at Dhanwate National College's Vasant Nagar ground. Nine teams including defending champion Lokmat, last year's runners-up Punyanagari, Sakal, Tarun Bharat, Times of India, Loksatta, Danik Bhaskar, Navbharat and Deshonnati are taking part in this silver jubilee edition of the tournament.
The kit distribution function will be held on Thursday at Press Club at 9 am. This year, the SMHRC-SJAN tournament is supported by Raisoni Education, Sports Karma, Sarangi Foundation Trust, MOIL and Sport Link. Matches will be played in coloured clothing and with white Wisdon balls.Matches will begin at 8.30 am sharp daily.
