This three-day competition is being organised under the hosting of Nagpur District Badminton Association and supervision of Maharashtra Badminton. Sevasadan Saksham president Kanchan Gadkari, Justice M.S. Jawalkar of Nagpur Bench of Mumbai High Court, Raisoni Group of Institutions chairman Sunil Raisoni, Raisoni Foundation head Shobha Raisoni, Trupti Karangutkar, Nagpur District Badminton Association president Kundatai Vijaykar, University Sports Department Director Dr. Vishakha Joshi, Raisoni Women's College principal Dr. Amina Wali, tournament secretary Madhavi Kashikar Hedau, Maharashtra Badminton Association senior vice president Mangesh Kashikar and others were present in the inaugural ceremony. International badminton players Malvika Bansod and Ritika Thaker were also honoured as prominent sports personalities in the programme. After the inauguration, first round matches were played, in which the top seeded players won.
