The organisers informed that the men’s and women’s category matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will now be played from 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur. However, the remaining matches on May 4 will be held at the original venue, where the closing ceremony will also take place. A total of 16 district teams each are participating in the men’s and women’s categories.

Union Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis were scheduled to visit the venue on Saturday evening. Both dignitaries had arrived in Nagpur, but due to the sudden rain, there was chaos at the venue. The rain turned the ground muddy, and water accumulated on the kabaddi mats. The LED screens installed for spectators to watch the matches on big screens also collapsed due to the weather conditions.

Meanwhile, organising committee chairman and Nagpur district guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule visited the venue. He instructed deputy director of sports Pallavi Dhatrak to arrange the upcoming matches at the Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.
