The inaugural edition of the League will be played immediately after the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year. The League will feature six men’s teams, owned and operated by leading business houses, competing in a single round-robin format, followed by semi-finals and a grand finale. To ensure the League is conducted with utmost professionalism and excellence, Arivaa Sports Private Limited — who managed the successful Bengal Pro T20 League — has been awarded the exclusive rights to manage the League. Each franchise will have to pay Rs 3 crore to VCA each year and three years will be the locking period. The winner of the league will be richer by Rs35 lakh whereas the runners-up team will be awarded Rs 25 lakh. Each squad to be selected by VCA will comprise 16 players and six support staff members.

Addressing media persons co founder of Arivaa Abhishek Mujumdar said , " Designed on the lines of the IPL, the League aims to provide a world-class platform for emerging and established talent of Vidarbha, alongside vibrant fan engagement and entertainment.". The league will bring a high-quality professional T20 League to Vidarbha. This initiative not only aims to enhance the cricketing ecosystem in our region but also to provide exceptional opportunities for local talent to shine on a bigger stage.

VCA cricket development committee chai8rman Prashant Vaidya said, " In a landmark move towards promoting women’s cricket, three of the six franchises will also be awarded women’s teams, marking a strong step toward inclusivity and balanced representation in regional cricket.".

The Vidarbha Pro T20 League will be broadcast live on a premier national sports channel and streamed on a leading OTT platform, with matches enriched by a decorated commentary panel featuring former Indian and international cricket stars.

“Franchise ownership” offers a unique opportunity for businesses to be part of an exciting cricketing journey rooted in the passionate and growing cricket culture of Vidarbha.

The VCA will soon upload all details, including the process to apply for franchise rights, on its official website.
