The virtual Annual General Body (AGM) of Vidarbha Cricket Association ended within just 15 minutes on Sunday.

For the first time the AGM of VCA was organised online due to Covid restrictions. Around 90 members participated in the AGM that was chaired by president Dr Anand Jaiswal. As per procedure the secretary report and audit reports were passed by the members.

During the 15-minute meeting some cricketing aspects were also discussed. According to the information it was decided to follow BCCI guidelines about forthcoming domestic season. It can be mentioned here that three days back in their executive committee meeting VCA preferred the combination of Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali (Twenty20 event).The Board of Control for Cricket in

India (BCCI) while sharing its blue print had given to the member associations four choices. The other three

choices were - having only Ranji Trophy, holding just the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament and a combination of two

white-ball tourneys in Mushtaq and Vijay HazareTrophy (50 overs event). VCA, in a meeting, decided to vote in favour of the Ranji- Mushtaq combination.

It is also learnt that during an AGM the remineration of selectors was retained. The men selectors are entitled for Rs 3 lakh per annum and Rs 2.50 lakh per annum for women.
