The Nandanvan police has registered a case against three youths, who exploited a divorced woman for three months on pretext of marriage. The police arrested accused Sameer Rizwan Sheikh (33), his brother Parvez Shafi Sheikh (27) and their friend Musir Rizwan Sheikh (26), a resident of Sadbhavana Nagar.

The 28-year-old woman had been divorced three years ago and lived in the Nandanvan area along with her children. In January, she received a message on mobile and after seeing the objectionable message, the woman blocked the sender.

After that, she received calls from Sameer, requesting for a meeting, to which the woman agreed. After a few days, Sameer went to the woman’s house and established physical relations with her on pretext of marriage. From then onwards it became a regular practice, whenever he use to get a chance, he use to get physical with her.

This continued from January 11 to April 24. When the woman started asking about marriage, Sameer started avoiding her. When the woman threatened to complaint to police, Sameer's brother and their friend assured her that they would facilitate the marriage, but still when the things were not working out, the woman started pressuring him for for marriage.

Sameer’s brother and friend Parvez started threatening the woman. The woman lodged a complaint with the Nandanvan police station. Police registered a case of rape, bullying and Atrocities Act and arrested the accused.
