Woodball national tourney begins

In all 525 players from 25 states have participated in this tournament, jointly organised by the Woodball Association of India and Maharashtra Woodball Association.

Director General of Accounts Dinesh Raibhanji Patil (IAAS) was the chief guest of the function. The president of the Woodball Federation, Dr. Ashish Deshmukh presided over the function. Former MLA Dr. Milind Mane, District Collector of Gariaband, Chhattisgarh Deepak Kumar Agarwal (IAS), General secretary of the Federation Ajay Sontakke, treasurer Praveen Manvatkar, president of the Maharashtra Association Kumar Masram along with secretaries of various state associations were present on the platform.

The inauguration was done by hoisting the flag and releasing balloons in the air. All the guests enjoyed the game of woodball on the field. Chief guest Dinesh Patil, in his guiding speech, said that if you cultivate the attitude of overcoming repeated failures to achieve the ultimate goal, success is sure to come. He gave examples of the success of the world's great players.

Dr. Ashish Deshmukh was felicitated with a shawl and a memento. The guests launched the 'Mobile App' of the Woodball Federation. Kumar Masram made introeductory remarks. Senior Vice President of the Woodball Federation Kishor Bagde moderated the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
