Woodball national tourney from today

According to information given by Kumar Masram, president of the Maharashtra Woodball Association, 500 players from 25 states and union territories will participate in the four-day competition in both categories. The national competition is being organised in Nagpur for the ninth time.

Competitions will be played in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team events in the morning and evening sessions. Accommodation and food arrangements have been made for the players and officials at the MLA Hostel.

The tournament will be inaugurated by Director General of Accounts Dinesh Patil (IAAS) on Sunday evening at 6 pm. The programme will be presided over by the President of the Woodball Association of India, A. Dr. Ashish Deshmukh. Former MLA Dr. Milind Mane, District Collector of Gariaband, Chhattisgarh Deepak Kumar Agarwal (IAS), Mohit Chadha, Dr Vishakha Joshi annd others will also grace the occasion. .

Kumar Masram said that the prizes will be distributed on March 26 at 11:30 am in the presence of Principal Income Tax Commissioner R. K. Jha and Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, Vice Chancellor of RTMNU Dr. Madhavi Khode-Chaware, registrar Raju Hiwase and others.

Federation general secretary Ajay Sontakke, senior vice president Kishor Bagde, treasurer Praveen Manwatkar, technical committee officer Sudeep Manvatkar, Govind Jha, Hemant Payer, Dr. Shriram Aglave, Dr. Sudhir Kahate are working hard to organise the competition
