Travelers from Nashik will soon have a new flight option, as IndiGo is set to expand its air service from Nashik to Coimbatore via Goa. This new route will make travel to tourist destinations like Ooty easier while also strengthening industrial connectivity between Nashik and Coimbatore.
Currently, Nashik has air connectivity to Goa, but starting April 2, IndiGo will extend the route to Coimbatore. The flight from Coimbatore will depart at 10:40 AM and arrive in Goa at 12:35 PM. The same flight will leave Goa at 12:55 PM, reaching Nashik at 2:40 PM.
Flight Schedule and Frequency
The flight from Nashik to Goa will depart at 3:50 PM and arrive in Goa at 5:50 PM.
From Goa, the flight will leave at 6:15 PM and reach Coimbatore at 8:10 PM.
This service will operate four days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Boost for Industry and Defense Sector
With this new connection, Nashik will be directly linked to Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is a major industrial hub known for manufacturing machinery, which is widely used in factories in Nashik. This will provide a business advantage to entrepreneurs from both cities, said Manish Rawal, Chairman of the NIMA Aviation Committee.
Additionally, Nashik has a Defense Innovation Hub, similar to Coimbatore. The new flight service will facilitate better connectivity for entrepreneurs and professionals traveling between these hubs.
Tourism Benefits
The introduction of this route will also enhance tourism. Ooty, a popular hill station, is just two hours from Coimbatore, making it easier for Nashik residents to visit. Moreover, Coimbatore offers international flight connections, providing more travel options for passengers from Nashik.
This new air route is expected to significantly benefit both tourism and business sectors, making travel more convenient and efficient.
