Maha Shivratri 2025: Additional Buses Arranged for Mahashivratri Yatra in Nashik

To accommodate the large number of devotees expected for the Mahashivratri Yatra, the Nashik Division of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has planned additional bus services. The Yatra will take place from February 25 to February 26, 2025, with the main celebration on Wednesday, February 26.

To ensure smooth travel for devotees visiting key religious sites, MSRTC has deployed extra buses on several routes. A total of 45 buses will operate on the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar route, 20 buses on the Bhagur-Taked route, 3 buses on the Igatpuri-Kavanai route, 14 buses on the Ghoti-Taked route, and 5 buses for the Igatpuri-Taked shuttle.

The Mahashivratri Yatra will be held at various temples and religious sites, including Sarvatirtha Taked, Shri Kshetra Kavanai, Shri Kshetra Trimbakeshwar, Someshwar, Dodheshwar, Kapaleeshwar, Shirsamani, Paregaon, and Nagapur.

The fares for some key routes are as follows: Nashik-Trimbakeshwar (28.3 km) - ₹26, Igatpuri-Taked (26.4 km) - ₹26, Bhagur-Taked (19.5 km) - ₹21, Ghoti-Taked (6 km) - ₹31, and Igatpuri-Kavanai (2 km) - ₹21.

Authorities have urged devotees to make use of these special services for a hassle-free pilgrimage experience. Public cooperation is requested to maintain smooth traffic flow during the Yatra.
