Even as Fire Brigade Week is being observed, a major fire broke out in Nashik out at Lokesh Laminates plywood factory in Tapovan, Nashik, creating a significant challenge for firefighting teams. The fire was so fierce that the entire area is filled with flames and smoke. The fire broke out in this company at around 12:15 midnight. Firefighters and disaster management officials have reached the spot. The police administration has also devoted itself to relief and rescue work.

Around 18 fire engines three each from all the centers of the Nashik Municipal Corporation have been deployed to the scene. Additional support has been called in from Sinnar MIDC, Chandwad Ambad MIDC, and the Currency Note Press, with fire engines from the Central Industrial Security Force also joining the efforts.

Despite these extensive measures, the fire remained uncontrolled as of 1:30 PM. Fire brigade personnel are making relentless efforts to douse the flames but are struggling to bring the situation under control. The fire broke out in a godown with a large stockpile of plywood, which has fueled the blaze and made containment more difficult. Of the 10 to 12 fire engines that have reached the spot, approximately seven to eight have already made more than five trips, continuously battling the flames.
