A symbolic funeral procession was held in Nashik on Monday (24th) to protest against Congress leader Vijay Vadettiwar for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Jagadguru Narendracharya Maharaj. The protest, organized by the followers of Narendracharya Maharaj, took place in front of the District Collector’s Office.

The demonstration began at Ashok Stambh and proceeded toward the District Collector’s Office, with protesters chanting slogans such as "Vijay Vadettiwar Murdabad" and "Insulting Hindu religious leaders is an insult to Hinduism." The protesters demanded an apology from Vadettiwar, warning that their agitation would continue until he apologized.

Addressing the gathering, the followers of Narendracharya Maharaj stated that Vadettiwar’s comments had deeply hurt their sentiments. They also warned that this issue would impact the Congress party in future elections, as they would express their anger through their votes.

The protest saw the participation of several political figures and activists, including MLA Devyani Farande, Narayan Jadhav, Praveen Thakur, Pradeep Malani, Uttam Kombde, and Nitin Shelke. The demonstrators made it clear that they would not back down until Vadettiwar issued a public apology.
