A detailed study will be conducted on the concrete structures in Ramkunda and other ponds in Simhastha before deciding on their usefulness, informed Divisional Commissioner Praveen Gedam. Road planning is also underway to ease traffic congestion in Nashik during Simhastha. Vehicles coming from Mumbai, Aurangabad, Dhule, and Jalgaon will be directed to Trimbak from outside the city.

In preparation for Simhastha, top officials, including Divisional Commissioner Praveen Gedam, District Collector Jalaj Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri, and Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, inspected key locations on Thursday (13th). They visited sites from Kushawart to Tapovana, reviewing infrastructure and encroachments. Steps will be taken to remove encroachments on the road leading to Kushawart Ghat to prevent congestion.

To separate traffic from Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, vehicles from Mumbai will be routed via Igatpuri, while those from Aurangabad, Peth, and Jalgaon will be diverted through the ring road. Gedam mentioned that tenders for the ring road will be issued soon. The authorities are also working on strategic decisions for highway expansion. A two-year deadline has been set for completing all Simhastha-related projects, with some work already in progress.

In the Ramkund area, a survey of bridges will be conducted before constructing Ramkal Path. The possibility of widening the Goda bank is limited, so a committee of experts will be consulted to assess the cement structures in Godapatra before making any decisions.

To manage parking efficiently, two lots—internal and external—are being planned to ensure minimal inconvenience to residents. The central parking lot will be accessible to visitors while maintaining smooth local movement, even during the festive season.

For vehicle management, private vehicles will be restricted, and government vehicles will be allowed to drop off devotees closer to their destinations. Additional parking space in Trimbak is being considered. Some roads will also be converted into one-way routes to streamline traffic flow.
