A shocking CCTV footage has emerged from Maharashtra's Nashik, showing a man kidnapping a woman on a busy road in broad daylight. According to reports, the husband kidnapped his estranged wife with the help of his friends and pushed his mother-in-law to the ground for resisting him.
According to the CCTV video, the incident, which is believed to have occurred on March 19, 2025, shows a white car following the woman and stopping at a certain distance. Suddenly, a man is seen running out of the vehicle, grabbing the woman’s hands, and forcibly pushing her into the car while she resists. Further in the video, another woman said to be her mother, is pushed to the ground and assaulted by the man for trying to defend her daughter. However, the gang in the car successfully kidnapped the woman and drove away.

According to the information, the 19-year-old woman was shopping with her mother in the market at around 12:40 PM on March 19 when the incident occurred. The police arrested the accused husband and filed a case against him under relevant BNS sections.

The police stated that the couple had a love marriage recently but frequently quarrelled, leading the wife to leave her in-laws' home and start living with her mother. Angered by her decision, the accused husband decided to kidnap her. In the afternoon, he and his friends abducted the woman in a four-wheeler and drove away in front of her mother.
After receiving a complaint from the mother-in-law, the police registered the case, traced the woman’s location, and rescued her from the Shirdi bus station area. The police also arrested the husband. A case has been registered against the abductor, Vaibhav Pawar, at the Havi police station in Sinnar.
