The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), along with saints and local citizens, staged a strong protest at Ramkund in Panchavati demanding immediate action to make the Godavari River pollution-free. The protest saw significant public participation and sent a clear message to the administration about the growing concern over river pollution in the city.

Led by MNS State General Secretary Dinkar Patil, City President Sudam Kombde, District President Ankush Pawar, and other leaders like Prasad Sanap, the protest highlighted the deteriorating condition of the Godavari and other rivers in Nashik.

MNS warned the administration that the agitation would continue until the Godavari water is made safe for drinking. Protesters also announced that from now on, clean river water will be used only for drinking, and people would symbolically bathe using polluted water to draw attention to the issue.

The MNS demanded that not just the Godavari, but all rivers flowing through Nashik should be cleaned permanently, not just temporarily during events. The party warned that all rivers must be pollution-free before the 2027 Kumbh Mela, and if the administration fails to act, MNS will intensify its protests and keep raising questions.

The protest reflected the growing public frustration with poor water management and river pollution in Nashik, especially in areas of religious importance like Ramkund.
