Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has announced a special discount scheme for regular taxpayers from April 1 to June 30, following the success of last year’s Abhay Scheme, which provided a 95% waiver on penalties. Property owners have been urged to take advantage of this offer and clear their dues.

Record Tax Collection Boosts Municipal Revenue

This year, the Municipal Corporation collected a record-breaking ₹256 crore in property tax, with the discount scheme playing a key role in achieving this milestone. The Municipal Tax Collection Department has designed the scheme to encourage timely payments.

Discount Structure for Taxpayers

April 1–30: 8% discount on the total bill amount.

Online payments in April: 10% discount on the total bill amount.

May: 5% discount on the total bill amount.

June: 3% discount on the total bill amount.

By offering financial relief, the scheme has significantly benefited property owners while also strengthening the municipality’s treasury. Last year, ₹110 crore was collected during this three-month period. Given its success, the NMC expects a similar response this year.

Property owners are encouraged to make payments on time and avail themselves of the benefits under the scheme, ensuring a smooth and efficient tax collection process for the city.
