A tragic and shocking incident has come to light from  Jail Road area in Nashik. A retired school principal, identified as Muralidhar Joshi, allegedly strangled his ailing wife to death and then died by suicide by hanging himself. The sudden and disturbing deaths of the elderly couple on the same day have left the entire locality in shock.

According to police, Muralidhar Joshi had been mentally disturbed due to his wife’s prolonged illness. His wife had been suffering from a brain-related disorder and was on a ventilator since 2017. She was recently brought home from the hospital.

Locals described Joshi as a calm and respectful person. The incident has raised serious concerns about the mental health challenges faced by elderly caregivers, especially in long-term illness cases.
