The district remained under cloudy skies throughout the day on Tuesday (April 1), with showers of rain recorded in parts of Deola and Satana talukas. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted further rain and a possibility of hailstorms in some areas of the state over the next four days, causing concern among farmers about potential crop damage.

For the past two days, the entire district has been experiencing persistent cloud cover. On Monday, sporadic rainfall was reported in Yeola and Manmad, while drizzles were recorded in some villages of Deola and Satana. The weather remained largely overcast, with the sky darkening further in the afternoon.

Retired meteorologist Manikrao Khule has forecast that Maharashtra will experience cloudy and thundery conditions throughout the week. He warned of potential hailstorms in some districts, including Jalgaon, Dhule, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar, particularly on Wednesday. The state is expected to remain under cloudy conditions until April 7, and hailstorms could impact the ongoing crop harvesting period from Tuesday to Friday.

Around 11 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, some villages in Deola taluka reported isolated hailstorms, adding to farmers' concerns. Meanwhile, rainfall in Satana was accompanied by an increase in humidity, though the showers were not particularly heavy.

With the unpredictable weather patterns, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Nashik for the next two days. The forecast indicates light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds. Authorities and residents have been advised to remain cautious, as unseasonal rain may pose risks to standing crops and daily activities.

As the region braces for further weather fluctuations, farmers and citizens are urged to stay updated on official forecasts and take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damage.
