Residents of Nashik and surrounding areas experienced a sudden dip in temperature on Thursday evening, bringing an unexpected chill after weeks of rising heat. The minimum temperature in Nashik city dropped to 10°C, while Niphad recorded a freezing 4.2°C. This marked a sharp decline of 6-7 degrees within a day, catching many by surprise.

While the day remained warm with a maximum temperature of 33°C, the cold wave intensified in the evening. The sudden change in weather left citizens shivering, and many had to pull out their winter clothes once again. The temperature shift also impacted health, with many reporting discomfort due to the fluctuating climate.

For the past two weeks, Nashik had been experiencing summer-like conditions. However, the return of the cold on Wednesday night brought an unexpected winter chill. Early morning walkers were seen wrapped in warm clothing, struggling against the biting cold. In rural areas like Niphad, farmers lit bonfires to keep warm as temperatures plummeted.

Just two days ago, Nashik city recorded a high of 36°C, with a minimum of 17°C. The drastic drop in temperature serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of seasonal transitions. Weather experts suggest that such fluctuations are common during this period, but residents are advised to take necessary precautions to avoid health issues caused by the sudden cold spell.
