A massive fire broke out in a plywood factory in the Rayate area of Yeola town in Maharashtra in the early hours of Friday, February 26. After receiving the information, fire engines, along with local police, reached the and rescued around 30–40 workers, including children. However, fire destroyed the materials inside the factoryy resulting in the loss of lakhs.

Sachin Chavan, a fire brigade official, said the fire brigade received a call at around 5 am. He said that the fire was huge, due to which the structure of the company collapsed to the ground.

Chavan said firefighting operations are still underway. However, no injuries or casualties have been reported in the incident. "We received a call around 5 AM. We immediately rushed here with the Yeola Municipal Council fire engine and began firefighting operations. The fire had already spread significantly," said Sachin Chavan.
