Pakistan's atrocities on the border are increasing day by day. Meanwhile, a jawan was martyred in a clash between militants and security forces in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A 19-year-old soldier has died in in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. Nikhil Dayama was a resident of Saidpur village in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

As per reports, Nikhil Dayama was a soldier of the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army. He had moved from the base camp to Uri two days earlier. Nikhil, 19, had his first posting in Uri. However, Nikhil was shot during an encounter with the terrorists. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment. But he was declared dead. According to the family, he returned to duty on January 13 from vacation.

He joined the Indian Army in 2019. After training, he was posted in Uri. As per reports, Nikhil's body will be flown from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi and then to his hometown Saidpur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot paid tribute to Nikhil Dayama on his Twitter account. Rajasthan CM wrote, "Salute the martyrdom of Alwar, #Rajasthan’s braveheart Sh. Nikhil Dayma who made the supreme sacrifice in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. My heartfelt condolences to his family members & prayers that they find strength. We stand with them in this difficult time."
