A 22-year-old model has lodged a rape complaint at the Chanakyapuri police station in Delhi. Based on the complaint an FIR has been lodged and the matter is currently being investigated.

The woman, in her police complaint, alleged that an old acquaintance of hers had come to Delhi from Mumbai. After which he called her at Khan Market to meet her. He then took her to a five star hotel and allegedly raped her. The accused also threatened the victim if she complains about the incident to police. After this incident, the girl reached the police station and narrated the incident.

The accused man had come to Delhi with his father and another relative to attend a wedding. He had made separate arrangements of stay for his relatives and took the model to another five star hotel.

According to the complaint, the girl alleged that the accused had texted her on January 30 and told her that he was coming to attend a wedding in Delhi and asked her t meet him. He had texted her at 5 a.m. on February 20 and called her at a friend's house to meet. At that time, the victim had refused to meet him. But the two then met at Khan Market, where they had breakfast. The accused then took the victim to the hotel and raped her.

Delhi Police said that an FIR has been lodged after receiving a complaint. An investigation is underway. According to the victim's lawyers, the man who raped the girl is from South Mumbai.
