3 fresh cases take TN Covid-19 total to 15

Chennai, March 24 The Tamil Nadu government, here on Tuesday, reported three more coronavirus positive cases, which raised the number of infected persons to 15.

Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar tweeted about the new cases in Chennai and said they had returned from abroad.

While a man, 74, and a woman, 52, had returned from the USA, a 25-year-old female had travelled back from Swizterland. They were being kept at isolation wards in hospitals and their condition was stable, he added.

On Monday, three coronavirus positive cases had been reported in the state. While two of the new patients had returned from London, one patient in Madurai has no travel history and is suspected to be infected through the community transmission.

While one has been admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, here, the other has been admitted to the ESI Hospital in Tiruppur.

The 54-year-old Madurai man has been admitted to the Rajaji Hospital in Madurai.
