Gurugram, Nov 12 The Gurugram police have arrested four people from Farrukhnagar, Bas Kusla Village and Garhi village on charges of selling firecrackers.

According to the police, routine checks are being conducted with a view to enforcing the NGT's November 9 order, prohibiting the sale of fireworks and crackers in Delhi-NCR until December 1. The order was pronounced to curb air pollution caused by bursting of fireworks.

In Farrukhnagar area a shop was sealed in the presence of a duty magistrate after a tip-off that crackers were being stored there for sale on Wednesday, said Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police.

The police has arrested Satyavir alias Billu, a resident of Valmiki colony in Farrukhnagar, in connection with the case, Boken said.

The police recovered 15 boxes of firecrackers including bombs, rockets, 'anar' and 'phuljhari' from the shop and lodged a case against the owner of the shop for allegedly flouting the NGT order.

In the second case, police recovered more than 6 kgs of firecrackers from accused Khushi Ram of Bas Kusla village in Gurugram.
