In a dubious distinction of sorts, AAP's Ambedkar Nagar legislator, Ajay Dutt, has been rated as Delhi's lowest ranked MLA. The findings which come ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls this week, are based on survey findings of the NETA App released on Monday.

The survey aims to measure the popular sentiment based on Delhiites' levels of satisfaction with the performance of their local legislators. Key parameters on which people decided the ratings of their MLAs included their work in areas like health and education. The rating was based on a scale of 0-5 points.

With a score of 1.5 out of 5, Ajay Dutt topped the list of the five lowest-rated legislators. The remaining four legislators, three from the AAP, and one belonging to the BJP have scored 2 out of 5 on the same scale.

The lowest-rated MLAs are AAP's Rakhi Birla from Mangolpuri, Bhavna Gaur (AAP) from Palam, Rohtas Nagar's AAP MLA Sarita Singh and Jagdish Pradhan (BJP) from Mustafabad.

The ratings of the MLAs are based on the votes of 6.5 lakh respondents over the last two years.

Incidentally, the highest-rated AAP MLA turned out to be Delhi's Education Minister Manish Sisodia with 4.3 points out of 5.

Founded in 2018, NETA App is a technology platform that acts as a feedback mechanism for leaders. Voters can indicate their preferences as per their constituencies for their leaders at the state and central level. If they are unsatisfied with their current leader, they can decide to take away their vote and give it to someone else as and when they want. The app also enables people to share their opinion and conduct polls on matters of national and local importance.
