Agra, Uttar Pradesh (March 1, 2025): A man in Agra died by suicide after allegedly facing harassment from his girlfriend and her family. The case comes days after another man, Manav Sharma, died by suicide due to marital stress.

According to regional media reports, the deceased, identified as Jitendra Kumar, was found hanging in his home on February 16. His family initially did not understand why he took this step. Later, they found a video and a suicide note on his Facebook account, in which he blamed his girlfriend for his death.

In the two-minute, 29-second video, Jitendra said he wanted to marry his girlfriend. He claimed she took ₹7 lakh from him over time but refused to marry him. When he demanded the money back, she and her family allegedly began threatening him. He said he was under constant pressure and had no choice but to end his life.

Jitendra reportedly worked for a private company and was the only brother to two sisters. Based on the family's complaint, Achhnera police have registered a case against five people and launched an investigation. Officials are verifying the allegations and trying to determine the exact reason behind his death.
